            Further information about the Cunningham and Buckalew families may be found in a book compiled and written by Ruth Coward Cunningham entitled Arthur Cunningham about 1755-1829, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio, and Some of His  Descendants, published 1991.  What follows is excerpted from that book:

          Arthur Cunningham was born about 1755 in Pennsylvania.  He married Hester and they had the following children:

          i.        Elizabeth Cunningham (1785-1856) m. James Buckalew

                    see BUCKALEW. 

          ii.       Jesse Cunningham (1788-after 1870) m. Eva Reems

          iii.      Phebe Cunningham m. Jonathan Grant, Jr.

          iv.      Jacob Cunningham (1793-1872) m. Jane Bucklew

          v.       Eve Cunnningham (b. 1795) m. Isaac Futhey

          vi.      John Cunningham (1802-1894) m. Christina Carbaugh

          Arthur and Hester and their family moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland by the time their sixth child John was born, then on to Ohio

          Arthur Cunningham died November 1829 in Holmes County, Ohio.
