7th Hopson generation: children of Thomas J. Hopson, Sr. Gail Joy Hopson (1923-1994) LIVING (1913- ) Gail Joy Hopson was born October 12, 1923, at Elkins, West Virginia, the youngest of seven children of Thomas Jefferson Hopson, Sr. and Sarah Margaret Walter Hopson.[1] She attended business college and worked as a secretary in Washington, D.C., during World War II. On 21 March 1945, Gail married LIVING, who was born April 14, 1913[2]. They had five children. Gail’s husband was a restaurant owner for many years, and was always an avid hunter. Gail worked as a secretary for many years. Some of my parents' most enjoyable times on their travels were their visits to Gail's house. They always kept a large garden and enjoyed sharing their abundant produce. Mom and Dad would always come home with lots of fresh vegetables and talk about how good it always was to visit Gail. Gail died very suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack in her home at the age of 70. |
